Make A Colonial Wig

During revolutionary times, the wealthier colonists wore wigs.

Supplies: old winter beanie cap, white quilting fluff, bobby pins, fabric glue, ribbons

  1. Put the beanie cap on your head.  Stretch out a long piece of white quilting fluff.  Tuck some of the fluff under the front of the cap (this will hang in your face).  Use the bobby pins to hold it in place.
  2. Add to the fluff until the wig is the desired length.  Take the cap off and glue the fluff to the underside of the cap.  Let it dry.
  3. Place the cap back on your head.  Flip the fluff up and over the cap.  Tie back the wig with a ribbon.
