Cooking was an all day affair in colonial times and family life centered on the kitchen.

 

Questions:

  1. How was cooking dinner different in colonial times?  Who did the cooking?
  2. What did they eat and how was it different than what we eat today?
  3. Why was tea such an important part of daily life in colonial America?
  4. What did they do with the leftover food?
